Our Projects
Pioneering carbon removal solutions for a sustainable future
Our Core Project: Mobile Biochar Production & Carbon Removal
Our primary activity is the production of high-grade biochar from agricultural waste using mobile pyrolysis units. These units are specifically engineered for continuous operation directly at the feedstock source, such as rice husks or sugarcane waste. This mobile approach helps to minimise downtime and transportation costs for raw materials.
We plan to focus operations initially in Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra due to the significant availability of agricultural waste in these regions.
Our Products and Services
Advanced Biochar
This is our core product. It serves multiple purposes:
- In Agriculture: Our biochar helps to sequester carbon long-term in soil, enhances water retention, improves soil microbial activity, and reduces the need for chemical fertilisers, thereby supporting organic farming practices.
- In Construction: It can serve as a sustainable additive, for example, in road formation.
Carbon Removal Credits
We generate high-quality, verifiable carbon removal credits directly from our biochar production. These are available for entities needing to offset their emissions. Certification is a complex process that can take a significant amount of time, potentially 8-10 months, and requires detailed data including Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
Biomass & Feedstock Services
We envision future services related to biomass, potentially including selling segregated and processed biomass to other industries such as biogas plants, ethanol producers, or boilers. This may also involve potential service charges for responsible stubble/residue management. Our operational model includes plans to implement a 'Biomass Bank' network of block-level collection/compression centres to ensure efficient feedstock supply for our mobile units.
Energy By-products
We commercialise valuable energy outputs like syngas or bio-oil that are generated as by-products of the pyrolysis process.
Proprietary Technologies & Methodologies
We see long-term value potential through licensing our proprietary technologies and earning royalties from any new carbon credit methodologies we develop.
Exploring Future Carbon Removal Solutions
We plan to expand into a portfolio of scalable carbon removal solutions. While biochar is our primary current focus, we are actively exploring and developing expertise in other complementary methods, potentially including:
Enhanced Rock Weathering
This process accelerates natural rock weathering by spreading minerals that absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere, offering large-scale potential.
Direct Air Capture (DAC)
This technology captures CO₂ directly from the air using chemical processes, offering precise removal for underground storage or industrial use.
Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS)
Combining bioenergy production with carbon capture technology to achieve negative emissions.
Afforestation and Reforestation
Strategic planting of trees to increase carbon sequestration while providing additional ecological benefits.
We are also exploring other potential R&D projects and aim to pioneer new methodologies for permanent carbon sequestration, potentially utilising feedstocks like municipal waste.
